Sitting in a small room, in a small town, saying something true, in front of someone who'll see you at the Co-op on Tuesday.

Believe you me, I understand it.

There's a particular kind of exposure that comes with a place where everyone already half-knows your business.

Here's what actually happened at the pilot evening.

Nobody arrived to watch anyone else fall apart.

They arrived carrying their own version of the same year.

And within about twenty minutes, that's what the room noticed.

Not who was struggling, but what they had in common.

That's not a coincidence. It's closer to the truth: women have been doing this for each other for generations, long before it needed a WhatsApp group or a name.

Coming together. Saying the true thing.

Being met, not managed.

What happens in the room stays in the room.

That's not a slogan I added for reassurance.

It's simply how I've run every group I've ever led.

The room in Pittenweem is small. That was never the risk.
