She Said She Couldn't Justify Investing in Herself. Here's What Changed Her Mind.

At the pilot evening, nobody turned up with a tidy problem to hand over and solve by nine o'clock.

What they had instead was a hell of a year.

The kind that doesn't announce itself with one crisis.

Instead, it just quietly stacks.

Perimenopause.

A parent's diagnosis.

A business that's changed shape twice since Covid.

A marriage that's become something else, slowly, without an argument to mark the moment.

None of it, on its own, felt like enough to justify "getting help."

But together, it was exhausting.

I didn't build Permission Granted to solve a year like that in six evenings.

I built it because women needed somewhere to put it down, even briefly, without having to explain first why they were tired.

Women have been doing this for each other for a very long time.

Long before it had a price or a Tuesday slot at The Cocoa Tree. Sit.

Say the true thing.

Notice you're not the only one whose year looks like this.

Leave a little steadier than you arrived.

That's the actual work of the evening.

Not a workshop on coping better.

A room where the year gets to exist out loud, and nobody flinches.

More than one woman has told me the relief wasn't in solving anything.

It was simply not holding it alone for two hours.

Permission Granted starts 22 September, once a month, six evenings, up to ten women.

Early Bird pricing runs until 8 September, with the option to spread the cost across two payments.

If this is the year you're having too, it might be worth the evening.
